Concept art inspired by Frank Herbert’s novel Dune. Portrayal of Duke Leto’s first flight over the sands of Arrakis. This might have been one of my earliest matte paintings. I still enjoy looking at it to this day, being that the Dune series has always provided me with a source of great inspiration
